About Arrowsmith & Grant

Established in 1990, Arrowsmith & Grant (A&G) Refrigeration is dedicated to the advanced engineering, design, manufacturing, and servicing of high-quality refrigeration systems.

Based in Dandenong South, Victoria, A&G proudly designs, engineers, and manufactures all refrigeration cabinets and systems in-house. As an Australian-owned and operated company, we use only the highest quality materials and the latest technology to produce durable refrigeration solutions, specifically designed for varying environmental conditions, including high ambient temperatures and tropical climates.

A&G specialises in the design and manufacture of medical refrigeration, including blood refrigerators, plasma freezers, and rapid plate freezers. Our blood refrigerators and plasma freezers are widely recognised as the gold standard in medical refrigeration across Australia, serving pathology laboratories, hospitals, medical clinics, and rapid response services nationwide.

Our rapid plate freezers were initially designed and manufactured for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service (now LifeBlood), with the first installation in Melbourne in the early 2000s. Since then, we have supplied all LifeBlood processing centres across Australia and have proudly supported them with medical refrigeration solutions and services for over 24 years.

In 2016, we successfully secured a contract to install our rapid plate freezers for the Hong Kong Blood Service, with five additional units installed since. We continue to provide regular maintenance and calibration services for these freezers.

In 2023, A&G expanded further by winning a contract to install rapid plate freezers at two New Zealand Blood Service sites.

With a dedicated team of 20 staff, A&G is committed to expanding our medical refrigeration solutions to international blood services and hospitals. We take pride in playing a crucial role in ensuring the safe storage and processing of blood and plasma, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, life-saving medical products.
